Question About Zombie Chickens

Honestly, I'm quite intrigued. I ran across something called a "Zombie" chicken. Does anyone have articles or something on them? I used to raise goats and knew about fainters. I saw a single video on zombie chickens and how they are the "fainting goat" of the chicken breed  Do they faint or do something odd? I certainly don't want any but now my interest is peaked and I want to know if this is an actual thing or something one person is breeding a line of. My husband thought they were cool haha! I'd like pictures if anyone on here breeds them!
I breed Ayam cemani roo with white leghorn hen for zombie chicks. Located in Apache Oklahoma.

Now would that not be something else if they came up with fainting chickens? It's bad enough they go broody, but then we'd have them fainting too lol.
Actually they have now come up with fainting chickens. It's called Polish Turken Zombie Spikes. Look up Zombie Spike Chickens on Tik Tok. Montgomery Frizzles is the one who bred them

I bought 3 white silkies this year specifically to breed with my Ayam roo. I already have 2 hens from the leghorn cross and my curiosity has peaked on what I will get with the silkie cross. I'm beginning to feel a bit like a mad scientist here...muhahahaha....I will post pictures when I get results later this year 🤓
@Captain Chaos 8 Hi - did you ever get a result from this breeding? Wondering how it went? Would love to see pics!

Geez-O-Pete! $30 seems relatively steep! I absolutely love the look of the Zombies and the Ayam Cemanis, that was the only reason I wanted them. Egg producing pets. LOL If I can get it up and running it may have to become a small business! 🤣
I had to chuckle as I'm reading this over a year after the post. I watched a video on YouTube of a guy who was at a chicken auction a couple months back where a zombie went for $80. Ridiculous. LOL

I found one video of breeder that did claim they did something, but I cannot remember what. Are they about the same as "Moonbeam" chickens?
no the moonbeam chickens are mixed with different stock hybrids. They don't have spots, splash or blots, they have a faded, thick smokey blend in with the feathers and are far more pretty IMO.
The only MB's I have seen don't have Black cones and wattles its a very dark maroon color that kinda breaks up the 2 tone trend. black feet, eyes, and earlobes, and its a Black smokey faded into a maroon haze on top of white along the feathers...Very pretty and different from what I have seen anywhere.

No moonbeams and zombies are different
A lot of people get them confused
A zombie is usually a ayam cemani rooster paired with a white leghorn

Others use a blend of those

When breeding a zombie, you should always use the rooster to be. Ayam cemani In doing so for the first generation you will get sex linked chicks.. the male transfer his genetics to the female chicks and genetically speaking, he crosses her genetics over to the male chicks

Moon beams are created using different different breeds

The main thing with zombies, everyone thinks you can get the same result with any white hen. That is not the case because you need to use a dominant white hen to get the results you’re needing.

I recommend joining zombie chickens on Facebook. There’s genetic information in that group. :)
I’m pretty sure a moonbeam is an Ayam Cemani mixed with a White Leghorn too…my aunt breeds them and they’re zombie/moonbeam chicks. They’re the exact same thing, my family has mixed breeds for 45 years and she started doing the moonbeam chicks around 2018 and we discovered they were also called zombie chicks.
