Okay-- now this is something I can talk about-----

I work outside rain or shine, hot or cold, heck or highwater!

South Louisianna--- 90-95* 100% humidity 100-105* heat index.

If you are concerned about your appearance because of sweating --- it's work!

You are making a living by honest labor.

I have had a few women in my line of work, got out, got to work, just like every one else, thier appearance never entered into the equation. When I am yanking on the wheel of a 24" valve in the bald open sun, middle of the summer, and it is Zimbabwe hot, I'll take help from any one, and I don't give a hoot what they look like when it's done.

Now if it's comfort and hygiene we are talking about

Chaffing-- that new Lanacaine anti chaffing gell is the pip.

Also

You might try Gold Bond powder -- make danged sure it's the YELLOW bottle. Helps with the chaffing, and general comfort. Pretty good deoderant too.

BEWARE

My wife bought some Gold Bond in the Green Bottle, mentholaited, I didn't read the instructions to carefully. Well, truthfully I didn't read them at all. Got up one morning got ready for work, went to powder up. Grabbed the green bottle read that it was mentholaited, kinda figured hey great. Help me feel cool. I gave my self a good going over, paying special attention to under arms and man regions. Stopped on the way out the house, put on my steel toe boots and to work I went. When I got in the truck I notice things were feeling "cool and tingley". Out the drive way down the road a piece and those same areas are feeling pretty intensely cool. Then at some point around 5 miles from the house I crossed the thin line between feeling real cool and tingley to kinda warm, intense needles and pins sinsations. The next mile was a debate of should I return home or press on to work. By the second mile the warm feeling has turned to genuine pain, and I began looking for a drainage ditch with water in it because I have to get this stuff off of me. I get to work I am burning so bad that I am figuring this can not end with anything less than brain damage. Straight into the Hazmat Shower I go shucking clothes on the way. You talk about some relief. Anyway the green bottle is mentholaited and should be used for FEET.

Ok, ya'll have made me feel better. I'm pretty proud of myself that I will actually go out there and run a punch press or lathe. Its a mans world and I work just as hard as I can and it shows. But I am also the one who would stop by there to see DH and be all cutesie and made up. So now to have sweat and aluminum grease all over my face is just kinda, yuck. I did make DH put a fan in front of my table though. It has helped some. Thanks guys!

Sorry to laugh at your discomfort, but I was. Out loud. Very loudly, out loud. My DH likes Gold Bond for the same areas you do and I could just imagine him stopping the car and standing waist deep in the Ohio River for relief.

I am so with ya there! That was danged FUNNY!!!!!

I use to play this game called Amtgard in TX. We would run around all day hitting each other with foam "swords". I literally mean running, constant body movement. I got really hot and sweaty, especially when we went to big group (500+) events down in NM, whew talk about HOT!

Anyway, I would get off the field dripping sweat and guys would literally follow me off the field and walk behind me telling me how GOOD I smelled!

Some guys totally dig it, I guess.
