What happens if you squeeze it like a pimple? Will pus come out of the hole?
Would I squeeze the hard pus out? I couldn’t imagine trying to dig it out - that would be time consuming and awful for the poor girl.
If it's not too hard you might be able to squeeze it out.
I’m sure my daughter probably won’t have a scalpel sitting around, so what would you recommend to lance it? And would I just leave the wound open to drain, or would I need to somehow stitch it up?
I was also wondering whether it would hurt to give her some fresh kefir milk (probiotics) while treating her. Or is it best to wait until she’s finished with the meds?
My daughter said she could try to help me get this cheesy pus lump out on Friday. I’m very nervous, as I worry about her getting an infection after the removal. How should I treat her afterwards so that she doesn’t get an infection? Should I keep her on the Fish Zole? Or use a different antibiotic?
What other drugs do you have?
I have Enfloxil 10% (but shows Exp. MAR 17); and I have Tylan 50 (but shows Exp. 6/16); and I have Tetroxy HCA-280 (but shows Exp. 6/16). I don’t know if I can use any of these expired meds. Ugh!!! If need be, maybe I could order what I’ll need online.
I’m not sure if you saw my last post about the meds I have (unfortunately expired tho).
So in general, regardless of what I have available, what med would be best to give her after lancing and removal of the hard puss area? I don’t want to lance the area if I have to fear her getting an infection.
So hard to know what to do. If I just leave it be, will it just get worse?
Maybe the enrofloxacin?
