Question on Canker & Fish Zole Treatment

No, it usually doesn't go away. And the hole it at the top, right? If she were mine I would make a small incision at the bottom of the lump and remove the pus from there. It should then heal up on it's own.

Would I squeeze the hard pus out? I couldn’t imagine trying to dig it out - that would be time consuming and awful for the poor girl.

I was also wondering whether it would hurt to give her some fresh kefir milk (probiotics) while treating her. Or is it best to wait until she’s finished with the meds?

If it's not too hard you might be able to squeeze it out.

My daughter said she could try to help me get this cheesy pus lump out on Friday. I’m very nervous, as I worry about her getting an infection after the removal. How should I treat her afterwards so that she doesn’t get an infection? Should I keep her on the Fish Zole? Or use a different antibiotic?

What other drugs do you have?

I’m not sure if you saw my last post about the meds I have (unfortunately expired tho).

So in general, regardless of what I have available, what med would be best to give her after lancing and removal of the hard puss area? I don’t want to lance the area if I have to fear her getting an infection.

So hard to know what to do. If I just leave it be, will it just get worse?
