question on gender.....Blue Partridge Silkie NOW with pics

So I've been told based on how a partridge silkie feathers out you can sex them based on color. So does the same apply to a blue partridge silkie...can you tell by the color they feather out.

Yep. Males should be mostly blue in the front, red towards the neck, shoulders, back. Females are mostly a light brownish color with blue scattered lightly through the body.


However, I've seen countless "Partridge" Silkies that aren't even close the Partridge color, so it may be hard to say. . . Pics are required

The think is with partridge patterned females, you should see patterning on their wings as the feathers begin to come in.
