Hello!

I wonder if someone can help me. I started my hatch on Thursday April 13th at 11 a.m., what day is today? Day 19? This is only my second hatch, so I started lockdown on Sunday! Also, the large white eggs are from pure breed Russian Orloffs hens and probably a RIR or Ameraucana roo (eggs from a friend's farm). Do they take longer than other breeds? Any info is so appreciated.

Thanks so much! I took this picture right as I was set them up for lockdown.

You wrote april 13th but I think you meant march? :)

if you set eggs on March 13th they are 0 days old at that time.
after 24hrs in the incubator, they are 1 day old (3/14 at 11am)

7 days = 3/20
14 days = 3/27
21 days = 4/3

so today is day 19!

all chicken eggs should take 21 days to hatch, only other birds like ducks or geese would be longer.

by the way.. I have eggs due the same day as you! come over to the April hatch a long thread
