Hello BYC members!

While I am certainly curious about the viability of starting up my own chicken and/or quail operation in the future, I am mostly here to find out if there are any chicken or quail breeders near me that breed for meat rather than eggs. I am attempting to switch my ferrets over to a raw diet and would like to locally source culled birds for them to eat on a regular basis.

Knowing that this is a hobbyist website, I don't know if this question is welcome, or super offensive so if it is, that is certainly not my intention! I am an animal lover first and foremost, which is why I'd rather get humanely raised and culled birds than those found at a grocery store.

Thank you!
