Questions about aging? In jest.

We do but jest, old son.

Steinbeck's books made great movies, too. The kids thought we were never going to send Cannery Row back to Netflix.

It is the Princess's favorite book/movie of all time. As a matter of fact, she has modeled her life after 'Scarlet' to a degree. I think that she is satisfied with (reconciled to) the man that she married.

That would be me.

I really really like the book, I would like to see the movie too but I don't have it.

I still have the copy of GWTW that my parents gave me when I was, like 13, 14 years old. My dad joked that when I got done reading it, he'd buy me War and Peace next. . . .never did.

The first couple of times that I read GWTW, I sooooo wanted to give Scarlett one of these:

What can I say? I was younger than she was. I have become more charitable as I got older.

A popular writer got the rights to publish a supposed sequel some years ago. I've read it. Total waste of paper, IMO.

LOL she was such a flirt

Trust me when I tell you that the Princess LIVED the part through adolescence and puberty, and I still see glimpse of Scarlet in her dottage.
