Questions about Keeping ducks and chickens together

Hi everyone
I’m adding ducks to my backyard flock and I have a few questions
I’ve been keeping chickens for more than ten years and first I was wondering if my older (9+ Year old) hens would have problems because they have never been around other poultry besides chickens also I was wondering if anyone had any tips for keeping ducks and chickens together or about integrating the too

Mine are together all the time. They sleep in the same coop and lay under the same bush all day. I had the new chickens in a large crate where they could see each other for a few days. After that they just all went in the yard together.

Just make sure you only get female ducks, when introducing any new birds the best thing to do is have them on opposite sides of a fence for awhile to get used to each others company before letting them range together.

I made this mistake and had to make a second coop and run in a hurry when little mister turned into a little monster for the spring.
