Questions about Mearns quail

I would think the 6 feet would be enough for a pair, but I think the article I read real quick said they're a bit larger than Bob whites

I thought they are average 6-8 ounces.

Oh, maybe I switched them mentally. I know they were compared to Bob whites though.

I was told that my guinea pigs, budgies, finches, and buttons may not survive outside during winter but at this point I think they would not survive inside. I do have accessory heated room for some that has not gotten down below 45 at the level of the thermostat but the budgies and finches only went in sometimes during the day and at night even when it was below freezing outside.

If I were to start raising Mearn's, i would join the Mearn's Quail and Enthusiast forum. There are lots of breeders that have experince with hatching and raising on the site. I'd try to learn as much as possible before starting to raise them...JMHO or my

Just trying to add sources that might have more information. I saw you had been on the other posting I linked and figured you might know more space and temperature wise what these need
