I have two, 3-week old silkie chicks. They are doing great! But I have some questions. Please help!
1) at what age can I take the marbles out of the water?
2) they have a sand bath in their brooder, do I still need to offer extra grit?
3)they are getting bored. They run and jump in my hand when I put it in the brooder because they know I'm going to let them play on the floor and feed them live wax-worms. How much playtime do they need each day? If weather permits we go outside!
4) can you tell the sex by their personalities? They often go head to head when playing. Like they want to see who is taller! They also try to fly and jump on each other. Is any of this behavior gender specific?
5) lastly, new chicks will hatch in one week. What's the best way to integrate them?
