I have no idea on Angel, my white peacocks parentage. Can anyone tell by looking and color? He is developing a lot of yellow in his train up by the pin feathers. His legs and beak are very light color.

Feel free to make guesses as I am clueless.

Hmmm, I did give them some corn on the cob last week as a treat but wouldn't have thought it would be enough to give him color. I did throw out a bag of old birdseed with cracked corn in it that I thought was too old across the street and darned if he and Petey didn't find it when scavenging so its possible that caused it. That was two months ago but they had a ball over there every day for weeks!

Your crumbles and pellets have corn in them

In flock raiser, sometimes it is pretty and bright from the corn and other times it is drab and dull looking because it does not have as much corn

If they free range they can also eat flower petals that can add yellow to them, marigolds are one of them.

When my whites molt they have a yellow tint to the feathers close to their body mainly the tail feathers but after they get all their new feathers the yellow disappears

Thanks guys. This is my first white so I am not familiar with what might color their feathers.

Any way to make a pied baby with him?

You will need a Pied to make a Pied. Otherwise you will just get birds that are split to white. If one of your hens is carrying pied genes it would be possible.

This is what is great about watching them go threw the changes we learn from them all the time, you just have to pay attention just like you did

You want some pieds out of him pair him up with a pied, this will also tell you if the pied hen you have carries 1 pied gene or 2 if she has 2 all their offspring will come out pied if only 1 pied gene you will get white, pied, and blue, some will look split some may not and just look like a normal blue.
