One evening, a Cherokee elder was teaching his grandson about life.I wonder if you look for the bad, does your brain rewire itself to look for more bad, too?
My cousin is all gloom and doom. Her church is all about Armageddon, she can't wait to see it. I listened in the service during COVID for a year and it was very depressing and yes the world looked horrible. When I quit listening to it and started listening to upbeat services, my Outlook on life totally turned around in a few months.I wonder if you look for the bad, does your brain rewire itself to look for more bad, too?
Yes. Your brain creates pathways or like roads between the neurons and the ones you use the most get really worn and the other ones get pruned. But you can change that and start using different pathways and those ones will grow. I just watched a video on neuroplasticity in the hospital.I wonder if you look for the bad, does your brain rewire itself to look for more bad, too?
Not to derail but I believe this is the video we watched. It mentions that exact thing about negative or positive pathways being reinforced. It’s a little long but it mentions that part towards the beginning.I wonder if you look for the bad, does your brain rewire itself to look for more bad, too?
