You will be missed Mr. Science Fiction.

The world of writing seems a little dimmer today.

He was a hell of a writer.

Been a while since I read any of his work, but I read everything I could lay my hands on of his when I was younger.

Something Wicked This Way Comes is a favorite of mine.

Particularly the film they made from it.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086336/

Doesn't matter how many times I see it the thing still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up during the scene in the library.

I've never seen the movie, but both Something Wicked This Way Comes and The Illustrated Man seriously creeped me out. A shining talent as a writer. I think both Fahrenheit 451 and Dandelion Wine are taught in many high schools. RIP

"Eyes that glittered like spinning quarters."

He was a gifted writer. I'll miss him.

"The Illustrated Man" was the first science fiction book I ever read, borrowed from my older brother's stash. It opened up new worlds for me.

Farewell, Mr. Bradbury.

Ray Bradbury was one of a small number of modern writers included in our English Literature classes many years ago. He was added as extra to the curriculum by an excellent teacher so we knew then that RB was one of the best.

RIP
