I got all mine (3)using raspberry jam. Put it in a small catfood can that I wired in to the back, middle of the trap. Apparently they had a sweet tooth as they were raiding my oriole feeder too,

It’s called job security.Indeed is seems so, until you learn that many of the animal control people are “no kill minded” and just turn them loose when no one is watching![]()
Marshmallows, cat food or chicken Feed. I always put syrup over bait for the smarter coons. Coons will try to pull bait through slots in trap. I also stake trap down. An adult coon will tear up a trap if it's loose and able to move , roll etc. Good luck.There's a raccoon that's been wandering around the neighborhood killing chickens, and I'm trying to help my neighbors trap it.
