Raccoon Busted Stealing Feed

Caught one yearling male. No damage except to mittens it pulled through trap.

Setting up to catch raccoon number two. Going out to make certain only feed accessible is in the traps and all birds must be roosting free and clear of pen walls. Birds can be pulled out of pens in much the same manner articles are pulled in trap by raccoon trying to escape.

This what I look at in the dark using the spot light below. It is easy to see eyeshine from that distance of about 130 yards.

Feed table although not as I left it. Last night I could see raccoon pacing on feed sack. Assumption was raccoon would visit trap.

Note damage to feed sack that was not open the evening before. About $2 worth of feed lost to spillage.

BOSS barrel also broken into with some consumed just like a human would. My son noted bite marks where raccoon pried the lid off.

This one appears trap-wise as bait not touched.

Will switch to a different bait and put out the leg-hold traps as well. This means another night of frequent checks. Hopefully I will be able to figure out the game cameras by that time.

Sure hope you catch the him. So far we haven't had to deal with any. But we have 4 large dogs, 2med, and 3 lil yappers...So even though we're in the woods in the mountains we rarely ever see any wildlife.
Well, good luck to you! :)
