Rafter Chickens

The bantams always sleep in the rafters. Initially, I tried to stop them, but it's become a fact that we've resigned ourselves to by now.

I occasionally catch some of the big girls eying them jealously from the roosts, but have never had any attempt to join the banties up there. Well, until tonight!

I certainly didn't expect to find an Easter-egger up there, but Cressida seemed as comfy as could be. I'm not sure if I want to discourage her from perching up there or not!

(Diana the Barred Rock is wondering how in the world Cressy got up there!)

Well of course she found another spot to roost....it's getting crowded on the old roost....lol. Too cute.
