Raised Platform for Waterer and Feeder to keep bedding dry and clean!

We hang the water from a chain in our coop. Just high enough that they can drink from it. Bedding will sometimes get kicked into the tray when they're vigorously foraging in there, but the water doesn't get buried any more :gig
Hanging water! You mind sharing the brand and model?

I used the brick method too...I've found if I keep the feeder and waterer to the same height as the chicken's back I get very little debris in them.

We got them at TSC, they're just the plastic gallon waterers with a metal handle.

Ok so the Vertical nipples just love to drip!!!
If you can't stop the flow you just gotta go with it. I made an aluminum catch pan nothing fancy to control the water flow. Now all I need to do is just place a small bucket under my brooder and everything should be good to go.

I drilled a hole to drop the funnel down into.

Place the catch pan hole right over the funnel. The catch pan is pitched to direct the water towards the hole.

Completed and ready to go.
