Pan is sloped to a 1/2"hole, funnel is 2 1/2" no need to seal the two together. I made a slight lip on the 1/2" hole that simple friction will cause the drip to occur at one spot.

It's a built in escape hatch for the chicks!
I also have the hole saw to make a plug to plug the hole if needed..
