Silkies may turn out to be the bullies, its a little unsettling at first but eventually a pecking order is established. They will work it out as they grow bigger.

I don't recommend Silkies with your other regular sized girls.
They run a high chance of being low on the pecking order. Being Bullied.
Stay with regular sized girls.
4 Reg size Pullets vs 2 silkies. Not good odds. Plus, with more feathering on legs and feet, you'll have more mite n lice checking to do.
Plus, the feathers on the feet stay wet, you'll be treating foot fungus too.
You mentioned Buff Orpingtons, they are cuddle, friendly birds which you want.
They come in two sizes.
Large fowl and Bantum.
You Want the Large Fowl.
I thought you said you only wanted Pullets and were choosing Sex link and Auto Sex Link chickens.
What about the Barr Rock or leg horn or Red Sex Link?
I have two Bantums and they must live in a separate coop and run. Its not easy caring for two coops. Silkies are going to be the same. You might get lucky but, don't count on it.
Plus, preditors Love smaller chickens. Hawks love to pick them up and carry them off before your eyes and you can be standing right there!

Ok. Do you have experience with Amber Stars? Would 3 Amber Stars and 3 Buff Orpingtons work? Chickens need to be in even numbers correct?

No and no.
I have
1 Red sex link
2 Rhode Island Reds
3 Easter Eggers
2 Polish Bantums.
8 total. But, that is just what I ended up with.
You just need same size.
My two Polish had to be separated from them at 8 weeks.
