Raising geese for my dads pond

My dad wants me to raise geese for his pond, but he wants them to do their own thing (hangout and have babies) What kind of housing, do I tell him to get, he’s not going to close them up at night and open the pen every morning. Or if anyone has a recommendation for him on what he can do ? Thank you!

Although Dewlap Toulouse are winning they are not good layers, so I would recomend Production toulouse..

Ok. For shelter you will just need shade. What are you thinking for a pen? Do you have a small pond?

Sounds like a losing proposition right from the start. One needs to provide predator protection for all fowl especially at night.

He doesn’t know about pen, something low maintenance where they. An go in and out by themselves and are safe from predators
