raising meaties and layers together?

I have 23 chicks together 6 of which are meats. They are double the size of the layers but had no problems
 
I received mine with some Banties but I had to put them in separate brooders because they would stomp on the little guys. When they were ready to go loose in the garden I let everyone loose, at least, when the Banties were ready to not slip through cracks in the fence. The big birds were loose for a couple weeks before the Banties, I guess. But, they were basically raised together the last four to six weeks.
