ramp into coop?

our coop is 3 ft. off the ground and are wondering if we need to build a ramp up to it or will the chickens fly up when we start letting them out?

I would build a ramp for them;to make it easier for them to get in and out of the coop. Just my opinion.

3' is a pretty high jump. Ours make a 3' jump to get onto the outdoor roost, but to have to aim just "so" to make it into the coop might be a challenge. A ramp with ladder-like rungs will make their life a lot easier.

I would go ahead and build a ramp for them.I have one coop 4' high.Some of my chickens prefer to fly up in it.The others prefer to use the ramp.
