Random off topic Thread #2: Your traffic complaints!

I've come to realize that not everyone thinks of the left lane as a passing only lane. In fact, I think it's regional. In some places, everyone treats both lanes the same!!

When that happens, it's just time to go ZEN.

I live in a rural area, lots of animals...
I hate teenage redneck boy who deliberatly ran over my peking duck, who were known by all around here to cross the road to get to the other side(don't know why). Then turn around up the road to come back and see if they killed it or not.(invision this... me standing in the middle of the road holding the dead duck and then proceeding to give the boy a tongue lashing,

yes I really did this!) Also the teenage redneck boy who deliberatly ran over my Pyrennes dog lounging in the shade near my mail box(not in the road) he had to come across the road and make the effort to run over her, dragging her 75 ft up the road!
I also hate the scale skipping trucks that frequent our backroads. (I live parallel to the interstate but way out in the country)(no offense intended to the law abiding truck drivers out there)
Plenty of other things I can think of that would take too much typing!

let them scale dodgeing truck drivers have it they(truck drivers) are about as low as dirt

could we start a thread to bash the truck drivers??

Countrygirl - thats HORRIBLE - I hope you could find the parents of those kids and give them a lashing as well.!!

On truck drivers, when comparing to regular car drivers, there are more truck drivers that actually KNOW how to drive.
I've only had one run in with a truck driver, and I let him HAVE it - I was cursing like a sailor.

.. at the next light out the window. (then I called the company that was painted on the side of his truck and spoke to his boss!)

People running over pets is terrible. They need to be hit by their own cars!!!

I live right on the major highway that goes from Canada to Mexico on the west side of the cascades... and it bugs the isht out of me when dumb drivers decide to use the very end of our drive way to pull a U turn *despite there is a U turn area just up the way about 1/8 of a mile* and then clip the mailbox. I've seen the mailbox sideways, in the ditch, with dents, broken paper boxes and just plain run over. We can't move it any further in though since the mail carrier has to be able to reach it!!! I was thinking about attaching spikes on the mail box pole so if they hit it they would literally have gouged holes in their front end, taken the mailbox with them for a spin attached to their car, and run over the spiked box pole thus rendering their tires flat.

You could always put you mailbox on a 4" PVC pipe and just happen to fill the pipe with concrete gaurantee the first person to hit it wont forget anytime soon not to hit mailboxes again. We had problems as a kid with people batting our mailbox, my dad took a rural box(large) then put a regular sized box inside and filled the void with concrete. about a week later found a broken bat at base of box didn't faze the insid box though

I was driving 65 on a 55 freeway - and he was RIGHT behind me, looked like he was in my backseat! Then he started honking his horn and flipping me off. (I returned the gesture)
It went all downhill from there, and he happened to exit the freeway at my exit - we both stopped at the light, him turning right, me left. And he started YELLING at me out the window, and again with the finger.... so I returned the favor and yelled pretty nasty things at him - I was IRATE at that point.
He pretended to get out his truck, so I did the same, opened my door.... (there were enough people around, I didn't feel threatened... and one good kick between the legs would have taken care of that anyway!)

It was really horrible, I was SO angry and shaking like a leaf after all that... he was calling me a B*tch etc.... and when I called the company, just happened that the OWNER was a woman, she didn't take it too kindly - I hope he was FIRED!

No the point where he started riding my @$$, was single lane. When it did go to double he couldn't keep up with me, till the exit where I was stopped at a light. (at that point I thought he was following me)
