That is so bad, I honestly have trouble reading it.

I know what you mean. I've been asked to drive an hour to deliver a dozen hatching eggs. No, I didnt do it and I wouldn't do it. I have my prices fair for my birds, actually, more than fair, and if they do not want to pay it, they can get birds elsewhere. Just as simple as that. I'd rather keep them myself.

I have had my share of emails like that also. I had one guy giving me every excuse under the sun as to why he couldn't come to pick up the birds and wanted me to deliver them. I'm sorry, but that is NOT going to happen. If you want what I am selling bad enough, you will find any way possible to get it. I've had people come all the way from long island and south jersey...even one lady from way out in PA....just to buy birds of mine. The fact that these people showed even just that commitment let me feel just a little bit more relaxed about the birds having a good home. A person who is on time and reliable tells a lot about their character...even if you know little else about them!

I also sell birds at our county fair and I tell people that I will hold a bird for you as long as you pay me up front. I've had many a people tell me that they would be there at so and so time and never show up. Well, if you've paid me first, then YOU are the only person losing out! I also tell people that I would be more than willing to take a bird back, but I will NOT refund money. Over the years of selling, my rules have gotten more and more strict. I will also refrain from selling to anyone younger than 18 if their parents are not present.

Forgot to say that I've had people drive all the way from Alabama, TN and South Carolina to get birds from me, with no quibbling on price, either. Of course, I would never expect anyone to bring birds to me unless there is a particular reason they just wanted to do it.

and I'm a teen.

that's really bazaar, I wouldn't sell to them either. I don't sell from the house anymore because I don't want weirdos nosing around, I only take them to the auction

I get responses like that to Craigslist ads, and also some from BYC. I try to be polite, but I definitely don't take them seriously.

This is why I allow my daughter, at age 6 (we actually started at age 5, when she expressed interest), to have her own little blog, an email and a Twitter account (locked, family/friends only), and a Goodreads account for reviewing books she's read. I want her to be comfortable with the computer and the Internet and social media, but doggone it, I want her to stay LITERATE.

The he/she is definitely from the text generation...I am too. I refuse to text like that though. I did and found our quick it grows on you way to easy so now i spell every single word out no matter what it is. Just as if i was talking. I find it on the disrespectful side lol. My mother raised me not to be all disrespectful to elders. Especially ones who are willing to sell their birds!
