Yeah, my boy's black tail feathers have that sheen of green too. But thanks for posting that link anyway. He's a gorgeous rooster!

My daughtern had a friend over to spend the night one weekend and I scrambled eggs the next morning for breakfast...the girl wanted to know if I put food coloring in them. I told her yes, just for her. I did explain that fresh eggs have much yellower yolks and more flavor than store bought that has been sitting on a shelf for several months.

We also use to tell our visitors to our home that our red Brangus cow gave strawberry milk..her name was also Strawberry. Weellll they did ask if we milked our cows and we had black (chocolate milk) and red Brangus....so, does this mean we have added to thier stupidity...only for a lttle while, we did try to clarify and educate. But the expressions on there faces are worth it ....most actually beleive you until you explain.

And you should see thier faces when you tell them you milk goats and actually drink and use the milk.

Lol, When I have people that insist upon a certain color of egg being better than another,I accuse them of being egg racist, then they feel obligated to buy some egg's of a separate color ,too prove that they are not.

Holy COW! These people are dumb! Ugh... I guess that's what our country is turning into these days. I mean, what would the difference be between quail and chicken eggs be other than size and color???? Personally, i think its better knowing what your birds eat (and do NOT eat). Plus, I'm glad to know my birds get outside and see the sky. Though there may be predators, they are perfectly capable of watching out for themselves (but as far as defending, that's different.) Jeezum... some people.....
