Uh, I wouldn't want eggs that came from hens with roos either. That would mean there is the possiblity of them being fertilized.

I think the implication was that they have empty heads, thus nothing for the screws to grab...

Store bought eggs are often fertilized, some members here have even hatched store bought eggs.

I gave my SIL some eggs once and she asked me if there edible. I told her to leave them in the fridge for 4 months and they would taste just like store bought.... I'm betting they are still there.
