So... I guess I just got irritated and wanted to rant... What happend to good people. What happend to good business practices... Its like a doggy dog world out there.... Every auction site or classifieds has postings that say BEWARE, CAUTION, or, keep away from. Most of these are followed by, "person is a con, its a scam, will sell you sick, dying, or dead animals. may even just rip you off." Ive been riped off before and its not a good feeling. I dont think its fair that we who work hard and try our best to keep with our hobby get taken advantage of..

I just cant belive that we have to take a chance on purchases online. Its not like we can buy exotic birds or reptiles locally... especially the ones im interested in.

Lets take this one bird Auction site... Lets call it "Auction E". They supposidly have a protical to keep out bad people. They require specific email account. No Yahoo, or hotmail...

So then... i dont qualify... but I still look at their auctions... any hooo, they have about 2 or 3 right now that say, "BEWARE" and "Dont buy from Florida". So how is it that honest people like me get locked out... but bad people that have an AOL or other account can get in... Its soo iritating...

Plus... Im moving all my birds and reptiles this year from the northside of the ranch to the south side of the ranch... so I will have 8 extra pens.... maybe 10... so im gonna be looking for the other breeds im interested in...

Im just so.... UGH!!! I guess ill have to get your recommendations on breeders for the birds I hope to soon be looking for...

I bought off a particular site some 'pure bred high quality Rouen duck eggs'.

Not sure what I have, but they sure aren't Rouen, I got less than a 50% hatch rate with one egg not even being fertile, and all the poor little things are having problems.

The only part of the ad that was truthful was the fact that the eggs did indeed contain ducks.
