RANT!!! dead Lav silkie roo!! rant rant!!!

Thanks everyone! To make matters worse-I went to put all my babies to bed and a polish pullet and black bearded silkie is missing~ They were there an hour prior but then poof we searched for over an hour until way dark and I had to leave for as meeting-just got back and looked again nothing! I prayed so hard that they will be waiting infront of their barn when I get up in morning-what a very day! ahh...I am very angry at my silkie roo but when I out all to bed-there he was in a chicken kennel just looking at me like "Mom-what did I do?"

whatever-Im keeping him but no more free ranging with the others-I cant we'll see how it goes because I cant leave him locked up 24/7 all the time Id feel really guilty-maybe just him and the girls from time to time while I kennel the other roos?

Good grief! My babies did not show up this am and now my SQ SL polish roo has soemthing wrong-he always perches on a certain spot-and he did last night-When I went down to let them out this am-he was hudled in a corner with his head tucked between his legs!!! Really unbalanced-I took him outside to see whats up and he walked a little but as if he were drunk! Any ideas? I put him in a seperate kennel with food and water until I could get home tonght-man in 24 hours I am getting so heart broken over all this-All summer not one problem really-all is well till yesterday!

oh my god, one thing after another.

bring the polish in from the cold. make him drink water with sulmet.
i just had this happen to the one i got from some one,
he was perfect when i took him, had in out in a coop for the first 2 nights then , one morning found him same way. 2 days later in the house and drinking water with sulmet he is perfectlyy normal now,
i belive it was the cold hurting his neck.

good luck, let us know how he does.

Ok I have sulmet at home-I should put him in the house to re-coop? He is in a heated ( 50 degreesish) garage by himself in a big kennel??? They sleep in the garage at night losts of nesting boxes and heating lamps ( not just a light bulb and heating light bulb) My poor baby- he was another roo-The only roo I kept to mate this winter with my WC black polish girls and one of those girls went missing yesterday! IDK what is going on!

yep put him where it is marmer, he needs to be in with heat. not too hot but room tepm where he wont get any chills.
and to be sure treat the whole flock with the sulmet too.

he is the same, not any better but does not seem any worse I guess. I am just at my wits end today cant stop crying. Since they have refunded my trip money I am actually debating whether or not i should try and take him to a vet.
