Oh, so it's the color you like. In this case, look into silver birchen Modern Game Bantams

The birds in question are Silver Partridge in color. Silver Birchen is a completely different coloration.

Huh. On my screen the color is coming off as a silver birchen. Pretty much black body with silver on the hackles

They're grey, with imperfect Penciling on my screen.

On mine they look just like how my black birds look when I flash a bright light, or take a photo using flash, at night. You're probably right though

I've had a Silver Pencilled mixed breed hen(Largefowl), but gave her away this year.
I've got Dark, & Light Partridge right now. They're gold/red based.

Did you know the actual cross of the chicken you used to own? Were they similar to the ones in the picture?

Her crossing was Buff Orpington/Barred Rock X RIR. She's lighter in appearance, & better patterned then the birds in question though.
