Still hoping for a girl! She's moved outside to the banty shanty, and is a bit sad about it, despite having her friends out there, as of yesterday. I think it's probably transition that makes her upset, because this is a far better, nicer accommodation. I'll force her to stay out, even if she hates it. Today I expect her to like it.
 
Renee, looks like you may be hooked on peafowl now. thats one fine lookin peachick. Know you want it to be a her......just hope she doesn't get any darker. I know how you feel, I keep checking my spalding charcoal pied chick. I need it to be a male, as only a few charcoal hens have layed.

100 % sure you have a purple blackshoulder..........
 
Renee.....here is pic of Mom and Dad. Purple even the BS do fade some after summer Sun. Spalding purple most are darker also

Hard to believe how dark grey this charcoal spalding is getting, the crest looks like it will be like a green. 50% GREEN if a hen hope the green blood will be enough to get her to lay. I know of a few that have layed.

The spalding charcoal pied is a male.
