Raw eggs

I eat raw eggs in smoothies all the time, but only from my own hens. I don't give it a second thought. But I wouldn't do the same with supermarket eggs.
 
Well, with plenty of liquor in eggnog it probably would kill anything that would be lurking. I think I'll play it safe and just do that.

Here is the recipe for "cooked" eggnog- getting rid of the raw egg issue:


4 Eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1 quart 1/2 and 1/2

Beat eggs. Add sugar and the half and half. Cook over low heat until mixture will coat a metal spoon.
Add booze, if you wish.

It was, needless to say, delicious! Enjoy!
