RCom vs. Brinsea

I love my R-com pro. Its so much easier to use and clean. I think if you dont mind spending the money, you get what you pay for.
The r-com is a set it and forget it model that will not allow you to make a mistake. it takes care of the humidity alot easier than any others.
The extras i was told to get for the humidity for the brinsea, were built in with the r-com. Do your homework on all the differences in the features like that
before you decide. I have never regretted it. Good luck, they are both nice, i just think the r-com does more for you.

The humidity regulator is really cool with that R-com. I know several UK places sell that separately. I haven't seen any US dealers that do, but that deal through Kemp's for the whole incubator is great. A digital incubator with auto humidity and auto turning for $250 just about can't be beat.

I love my R-Com Mini! Easy to use, clean and view chicks

I love my Brinsea, it was $267 without the humidity module. I would have bought the RCom if it was $250 at the time. That's a great price!
Everyone that has one seems to love it. If the humidity controller is important to you, then the RCom can't be beat for the price.

I thought so too, didn't pay close enough attention when I ordered. I was so happy for the 99 dollars! However, you can turn the eggs without opening the bator at all because of the octagonal shape...

Okay, I ordered the RCom 20. I really want the auto humidity control, because I've been having trouble with my last couple of hatches. For the price, the RCom seems like the better deal right now.

Thanks for all the input. I know there are lots of experienced hatchers here!

I have the R-Com 20. Got it this summer and have used it constantly since then. I've had great hatches. The water reservoir needs to be filled about every three days, but you can fill it without opening the incubator lid. It heats quickly, holds temperature great and is easy to clean. I have very hard water here, so I fill it with distilled water to keep lime and minerals from building up in it.

Mine has the universal tray, so you space the dividers to fit the size eggs you are incubating. It does play a little tune when it rotates the eggs, but I don't really notice it much anymore. If it runs low on water, it makes another sound and a "water empty" light comes on. That's nice if someone else is watching your incubator.

Brinseas are also great incubators. I'm looking at their cabinet model. I can't seem to limit myself to only setting 20 eggs at a time!

This post says it all.........i love how it warns you its needing water. I also want to add, mine came with the full set of egg trays.......i like the universal better.
I do not recommend buying the egg trays unless you really think you need them. The universal allows for different/any sizes all at once.
