RCom vs. Brinsea

Ok, I just ordered the Suro-20.
I didn't see this post til now.
I will let you know what I think when I get it. I hadn't heard of it before, but I took the risk.

R-COMs are good BUT..

The customer service from the new distributor is atrocious. I have never had them respond to an e-mail, whenever I call (and actually get through) the usual response is 'Oh, yes, I have your e-mail on my desk'. Well why the heck haven't you done something about it then! They seldom return calls, from the customer's end it just seems like they're twiddling their thumbs all day.

Brinsea used to be the distributor and they have never been less than excellent. I had the run-around for so long with Lyons that Brinsea searched for the part I needed and sent it to me free of charge, even though they were no longer responsible for warranty repairs. On another occasion the company that manufactures the R-COM, located in Korea, sent me the part because they couldn't get anything done by Lyons either.

I do prefer the R-COM incubator, but I wouldn't buy a new one simply because of the hassle if something goes wrong.

wow that is a whole lot of features for a great price. i wish i had disposable income at the moment!!

Just recieved a King Suro20 from Kemp's Koops and had great customer service. I had a problem with the humidity pump and David took care of the problem the first business day. Could not ask for better service. I will see how the system works with my first hatch. I plan to get some eggs when the weather warms up...

C O N G R A T S !! Now to just have to give us details of your first hatch. Do you need eggs? Go to the CrAzY 24 hr Auction II
It's a lot of fun!

I've got someone who's going to send me Lavender Orpington eggs - so you can see why I want my hatch to go perfectly this time around. I'm sending her some of my silkie splash ameraucanas in trade.

Brinsea Eco is available both with and without the autoturn cradle. The cradle is a black "rocking device" that you put the 'bator on, and it turns from side to side.

You can also turn the entire incubator by hand 3 times a day if you wish. It has a hexagonal shape with three sides on the base to rest on.

wow, if i only had 250 bucks. That is AWESOME for that suro 20 from kemps. If i was not getting ready to spend 100 bucks + on some hatching eggs for my 1588 then i would totally save for that. Im not big on the 24 egg capacity, but come on now..digital humidity AND temp control...sign me up! My 1588 is brand new...just got it, and i thought to myself " well i can get 42 eggs in here...more if they are banties, then this will be the best for me because sometimes 24 eggs are not enough for me and my hatches" lol. So i spent the 130 bucks on it and it came to my house "already had a turner" so total i guess you could say was about 170 for the entire package. This was when kemp's had nothing on sale. If they did have the suro20 for sale..i would of had to think...REAL hard before i bought, but i still think i would of went with the 1588 mainly for it's larger capacity.
