It's a cousin of the blueJay not as pretty but just as ornery. I had gathered some eggs the other morning and left them on a bench thinking I would pick them before going in the house that afternoon i found a bluejay had eaten them for snack. They are mean to the other birds and eat their eggs as well.

I didn't realize how long this post was. Until I saw Scrub Jay written on a few of the posts, I had never even heard of them. Definitely looks like a scrub jay now that I have seen them. I take my earlier comment back about it being a Blue Bird. A Bluebird probably would not be able to carry a chicken egg.
