Ready Set Hatch! Set 3/17 Hatch 4/7 - ready now! Hatch-Along

Oh wait a minute - now that melodie said that I turned pictures back "on" - didn't know there was one! Awww! She really manages to cover them all![/quote
I didnt think she would be able to cover them but to my surprise they were all developing really well except the 2 i mentioned. I will keep a close eye on them tho and if any stop i will pull them so that she has a good hatch. She covered 7 last time and all seven hatched February 11. And they are beautiful. I will post pics of them tomorrow

So sorry to hear about Baby Pam. That is terrible.

Of all the dangerous animals we have, raccoons are not on the list. I really hope #10 pulls through for your kids, and Baby's next generation lives on.

Sad day today. Egg #10 gained significant importance to us. Long story short, my first time incubating all shipped eggs last fall we only had two eggs develop and one hatched. She was a salmon faverolles from our egg #10, an "extra" egg - not even a breed we requested. She was named Baby. She of course was spoiled rotten and was the quirkiest thing imaginable. Ran to greet us and loved to be held. Never "fit in" with the other chickens though and we have always wondered if she was somewhat blind. She hated being outside unless we were right next to her, so she spent most if her time in her inside corner. Baby started laying a few weeks ago (another odd quirk, she'd hop to lay her eggs - seriously.) Wouldn't use a nesting box so we built her her own floor box. She wouldn't roost so every night we would place her on the roost next to her rooster friend. We chose to incubate one of her eggs 10 days ago because we adore her so much, even though her eggs are still small to incubate. We marked her egg with #10 for luck. This morning we candled her egg and it's doing great. This afternoon the chickens were out free ranging and as usual, Baby was in the coop. My daughter went in to get her and found her dead in the hands of a large raccoon. My kids are so heartbroken, so am I. She was special to us, would've been 28 weeks old tomorrow. Sorry to go into the long story on a hatching thread. Just felt like I could use a few others hoping for this one little egg to hatch. I wish I still had more of her eggs, I would put them in to replace the three I removed today.

AWW so sorry for your loss i hope her dd/ds hatches
