Hi! I am very inexperienced, but thought I would share this article:
https://www.littlefarmonthecorner.c...can either shave some,to seal the crack/break.

"The highest risk to an egg with a cracked or broken shell is for the membrane to dry out and shrink-wrap the chick. Before you do anything else, wet a clean towel/cloth with warm water, wring it out, so it’s damp (not soaking) and wrap it around the cracked/broken egg."

How is the chick doing?

With chicks like this, it's generally best to gently moisten the membrane with an oil, such as coconut oil, or mineral oil, taking care to avoid the chicks beak. If there is still a little bleeding, a dab of cornstarch or styptic powder may be indicated. Once moist, leave the chick be, and attempt to keep the humidity fairly high. It is best not to use a damp towel on the egg as that often cools the egg rapidly. Unfortunately, besides what's been suggested, and keeping a close eye on the chick, there is not much you can do, and oftentimes, sadly, they pass.

I had an egg get stepped on by a hen a day before it hatched. Although at the time, I thought it was about two days before hatch. I gently covered the cracked section with wax. I chose wax because I wanted it to strengthen the shell. I didn't have an incubator, only a hen. If I had an incubator, I would probably try to cover with a thin layer of plastic wrap after moistening the membrane with some oil. Also, my chick's beak wasn't near the crack. There is now a very high chance that if the chick survives, it will be shrink wrapped. In my case, the inner membrane didn't break so there was no blood as is teh case with yours. My chick was definitely shrink-wrapped and I had to help it out of its shell.

Best of luck and don't be too hard on yourself!

Like other's have mentioned, just keep it moistened with a very light coating of oil, being careful not to get it near the beak. It's close to being ready to hatch anyway, so it should do ok. Keep it IN the incubator as much as possible.
