But those are really nice beauties- From another Tn member Congrats!~

I think you are the people that contacted me about the Dels from Meyer. It appears that you are enjoying them as I am. Would like to see a picture of them later. Good luck with them. They sure are nice.

Hi Speckledhen
I am very happy with the size and color of them at the age they are. I have been working seven days a week the last few months. I wish I had more time to spend with them. All the overtime at work will end soon and I plan to start culling and only kepping the best. I have culled three so far. I still have 23 left I think 10 males and 13 females so I have a lot to cull from. I will post a picture of them every week.

To really build a good Delaware flock, it's a drawn-out process, to be sure, the culling part. You have to allow them to develop their markings and their temperament (roosters, especially). Good luck as you go along!

They are really looking good... but we need more update pics!

I have a little five week old dellie... she is so calm.

I saw my first Delawares in person yesterday at a local swap. They were big, fat, plump, pretty pretty birds. If it had not been that my DH only gave me 10$ to spend yesterday and the fact that they packed about 12 in one cage I would have gotten a couple. I was impressed with the ones I saw. They were working models too....eggs in the cage!

I hatched out 3 ( 3 weeks old now) and I have 14 more eggs under a broody. I can't wait for them to get bigger, they are such cute, sweet chicks.

Thanks for the photo updates!
