Hi everyone :)

I'm brand-spanking new to being a backyard chicken cooper keeper, but am excited for this new adventure in our lives. My husband is working on building our new coop along with a good sized fenced area for them to roam, once they get to that stage, so we are making sure we have all the bases covered for this initial introduction.

My question is; with all 3 hens coming from the same flock, are they safe to be housed in the same coop together, even with them all having chicks of their own?

There will be no other chickens in the coop with them, as they will be our very first flock. The opportunity to get all 3 hens (who are currently broody and sitting on eggs), along with their chicks once they hatched, was just too good of an opportunity to miss out on for a starter flock of our own.

Thank you so much for any information you are able to share, and even for any tips that you are willing to give this flock-virgin. :)
