Recomendations on how to keep chicks from kicking feed all over the brooder?

Stand the feeder in something like a wide dish or baking tray to catch the food they beak out. Have that standing on a raised wire rack like you'd use to cool cakes on, or something similar, to help keep bedding and poo out of the tray or dish or whatever.

I use a small baking tray to hold my chick feeder and waterer. They still kick some crumbles into the water and poop on the food in the tray. It’s still less messy than no tray.

I use a small baking tray to hold my chick feeder and waterer. They still kick some crumbles into the water and poop on the food in the tray. It’s still less messy than no tray. View attachment 4236114
