Hi all!

I just returned home after leaving our chickens in the coop for about a week and noticed a poop that had what I thought was red worms in it. It was the only one there, and after reading online I can’t tell if it’s worms or intestinal lining. It was not moving but seems like a lot for intestinal lining. What do you think?

I don’t think that is a roundworm. To be sure you can bring some poo to your local vet to perform a fecal float test.... but that looks like intestinal shedding to me.

I think that it may be a roundworm and intestinal shed, and the intestinal lining has colored it pink. Roundworms usally are white or cream colored. I would try Valbazen 1/2 ml given orally, and repeat in 10 days. Or use SafeGuard Liquid Goat Wormer 1/4 ml per pound given orally for 5 consecutive days.
