Red feet? What's up with them?

Is it possible that Buff Orpingtons are more sensible to temps? It's been colder here recently but I'm talking 50's not 30's. I just noticed the red on her feet & legs again, I haven't noticed it in the past couple months.

I also have the same thing with some of my hens.

It could be hormones in roosters, but my hens are reasonably old and don't have a roo.

Some of their feet are slightly pinky/red. I have a feeling it's from the cold since it's winter. They don't seem tender or swollen, just pink.

One more thing... a few of them have black spots on their toes and foot, it kind of looks like little mold spots but under the skin. They've had it for a few months and hasn't seemed to get any worse, it doesn't bother them either but I want to make sure it's not something like a small tumour or blood clot. Anyone have any idea what it could be?
