His dung seems ordinary from what I’ve seen wild chickens and the chickens I’ve used to care for have. I’m going to feed him boiled egg later.

Hopefully.Ok, I checked up on him. He finished the papaya, which was pretty big. He still seems pretty weak and now his poop is watery, most likely due to how liquid the papaya was. I couldn’t feed him the egg, so now I’m going to clean out his cage then give him some more feed. Maybe he’ll eat it dry?
He doesn’t care for that either. Caught two more bugs, put one in the feed and he pecked it up and hopefully tasted the feed, and one in the water so he would wet his beak and realize there’s water in there. I don’t think he’s too hungry, that papaya was bigger than his stomach and crop combined, and he ate it over about 24 hours.Hopefully.
I will, thanks. It appears he has a decent appetite for foods he's familiar with. After consuming a whole papaya, he won't be all that thirsty. But keep fresh water within reach, and he will drink when he feels the need.
You might scavenge around for worms and berries and seeds that he would naturally be eating.
