I'm waiting another month sto start hatcing my project birds, but I think I am going to try putting up some eggs for aution next week.

I have three pens for my meat bird project, one with a predominence of CX, one weighted with "Red Cornish", and one that is more White Rock, I'll be crossing the offspring of these next year. BUT the hens are laying like gangbusters and I thought I might share some of my work with others trying to do the same thing . . . who knows it could save someone a few years lol!
I think I'm going to offer out of just one pen at a time, probably start with my CX BCM pen . . . watcha think???

It also helped me better gauge feed use, growth rates, address any fertility issues and do some processing and comparing those side by side. I think you have already figured out it's the way to go on a project of this scope.

I'm not a Katy, but can tell you that her BCM/CX are pictured earlier either on this this thread or on another...................... they're quite large and meaty. Since CX are dominate white, crosses off them are predominently white with sometimes red or black bleeding through............................. but the colors and patterns will resurface in a percentage of chicks in later generations.
