Red lump on chick's neck! Please help!

Yes, my outdoor hens are so skittish- never got any attention where they were being bred

All of mine got attention, just certain girls are very flappy, & wiggly.

Kiwi's little sister, blue, was helped hatch- she is quite timid and easily scared. She has seen me playing with Kiwi and Pickles (older brother) and even started jumping onto my lap for a nap.

The lump disappeared a while ago. I didn't take her to the vet since it disappeared.
But now it has come back. I'm gonna book the vets.

She's going to the vet today.

  Thanks for your replies! The vet said her adult feathers were just struggling to come out; it will sort itself out. Kiwi was prescribed some medicine which I am meant to mix with water (until pink) and put it on her neck.

Didn't I say something about it being ingrown pin feathers? Sounds like I was correct.
