Red on Coturnix Egg- Blood?!?

One of my girls just gave us this egg- this has never happened before, we were able to wash the red off. Should I be concerned? What can cause this? What should I do?

Is she new to laying? Was the egg larger than normal?

If she is just now starting to lay for the first time that is normal But also old birds lay bigger eggs when they age and could of struggled laying

She’s been laying eggs for a little over a month now, no problems at all.

Probably just a small blod vessel that burst under the pressure of pushing out the egg - keep an eye out for more eggs like it, but I wouldn't worry too much unless it happens several times.
