Back here in Michigan my friend shot 3 tri colored ones within 8 minutes. he got a 52 pounder and two 35# . they had been running in a pack just on the edge of town.
if you plan on sitting out get a tree stand or tri pod and use a rabbit call. get a squealer and have at it. once the come running have the gun up because they won't stay long.

An acquaintance of mine shot 11 of about 15 wolves in north Idaho while trying to retrieve an elk they shot. When they tied up the pack horses they tried to attack the horses and would sit about 100 yards away and watch while 2 of the wolves kept trying to approach them. He said after about an hour they kept getting closer and finally said screw this and they started shooting them.
