Reject Hatching Eggs - aka "The Undesirable Egg Experiment"

Pics
Day 10 update! All 3 misfits are still doing well! I think this will probably be the last time I can capture any candling on camera. These eggs are quite dark and as the chicks fill the eggs it becomes harder to capture pictures. I will definitely update again, hopefully with some good hatch day pictures!

I’m posting before going back to review your previous posts, but have you shared what incubator you’re using and what temperature and humidity it’s at?

I don't think I did! I'm using my Nurture Right 360 humidity has been stable at 45%, temperature is 99.5°F. I will increase humidity to about 65% after lockdown. So far the air cells are on point!

I can’t remember seeing... did you wash Sticky?

Nope, I didn't wash any of them. Sticky has a dried gluey substance that may have been leaky egg white from someone else's suggestion or it could have been some actual glue that was in the carton but I almost couldn't get the egg out of the carton is was so stuck in there.

:flSame here wanted to see turn out .From what I can see vien deveopment is good . I had a ee that laid eggs with the calcium problem .It never got better .Every egg she laid was full of air bubbles .And almost all of them leaked in the carton .

That's interesting, I can't remember who suggested it previously but I bet they were right about "Sticky" leaking in the carton then.

If there are bubbles, you can almost bet on it .Some olive eggs don't candle all that well .watch the air cells .Cracked and pourious eggs tend to grow large cells .

I was concerned about that initially but the air cells actually look pretty good right now. :fl I'm watching them closely. So far all of the fertilized eggs are developing beautifully!
