I took in an injured pigeon last October approx.. He had a slightly hurt wing but now it's healed so I will be releasing him as soon as it's warm enough. My thought was to take him out to a grain elevator that belongs to friends of ours and let him go where he'll have plenty of friends. They say they have lots of pigeons there and they don't kill them as they don't keep grain anymore. Sound good?

He will be fine, I have pigeons and this winter was hard on them but only a few died (it was -20 for several days). If he's a wild pigeon then he'll know how to survive.
Hope this helps!

Thanks lightchick and briancady! Now "Mr" Duckworth has laid a couple infertile eggs so I likely won't release her till she realizes there are no chicks hatching.
