I'm surprised Mace didn't jump in on this one....NJ is the only place I know that still pumps your gas for you....true that's it though - no fluid or tire checks - no windshield cleaner. I agree with Potato Chip...I was always entertained as a kid by the guy washing the windshield! :yaHowever, if someone came up to my car now....they'd probably startle me and get hit with the windshield squeegee.

I may have been one of those guys washing your windshield.

Remember when things were made of metal or wood and not plastic? Like thermoses or lunch boxes.
Just look at how many things we buy that comes in plastic now days.
Remember when things were contained in containers that weren't plastic.
Drinks were in tin cans or glass. Coffee was in tin cans. Lots of stuff were in cardboard with tin ends. Some things were in paper. Either paper bags or wrapped in paper.
Gas cans were metal. Oil was in the cardboard with tin ends and you had to stick the spout in them. Toothpaste was in those foil tubes.
Plastic has changed almost everthing manufactured. Either the product itself, how it is stored or shipped or the machinery used to make it.
