How big is building, in feet by feet?
Pics of outside, please?
What do you have for ventilation?
How many birds total?
I see no roosts and way too many nests.

I have a really tiny set up compared to yours, I am envious of the space that you have! You could make something so beautiful! I have my nest boxes under the poop board and my hens love it! I also put curtains in because they really seem to like the privacy of them.
https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/aarts-coop-page.65912/Questions: do you have a style of nest box and roost you favor?
I just use sand and pick it up every morning if there is poop there, usually there is just poop on the poop board and I always put newspaper on it in the evening, so I just have to roll it up and throw it away every morning and I just put new paper down before they go to bed. My hens seem to really like their coop and I have just made it so it takes me five minutes at the most to clean. They especially like the curtains, they lay tons of eggs and they like the privacy, so they don’t fight over the nest boxes and they are super quiet about laying They used to be really noisy, but that was because they were fighting over the nest boxes. Now I have four places for my eight hens to lay.I LOVE your set-up! From the color, to the ramp up to the poop board... and the curtains and next boxes below are so sweet.
I see you use sand on the floor... is it a mixture of sand and PDZ?
And is that linoleum you have on the poop boards?
I'll be your hens are happy in the cozy happy space! It's inspiring, thank you!
Good catch...yes, old school florescent lights have a flicker rate that can really annoy chickens...and me....the newer ones are not as bad.I’ve heard chickens do not like fluorescent lighting because they are sensitive to the flickering that we as humans don’t notice as much. Maybe try switching out the light?
Thanks for this thought about flickering light. This is a newer light that looks like an old fluorescent one, but I will check with DH to see what the bulb is.I’ve heard chickens do not like fluorescent lighting because they are sensitive to the flickering that we as humans don’t notice as much. Hi, I appreciate the catch on fluorescent lighting... this is a new light that looks the style of an old fluorescent set-up, will ask DH what type of bulb is in there. I only use the light to clean the coop or putter around in there. I decided not to use lighting to extend daylight during winter, so I don't use it for that.Good catch...yes, old school florescent lights have a flicker rate that can really annoy chickens...and me....the newer ones are not as bad.
Wonderful photos, thank you! Very helpful! It looks easily accessible for the chickens too, I really like that.
